Jon Taylor

Jon Taylor, Founder & President

From a very young age, Jon has always been an Apple fan. Growing up in Northwest Arkansas, Jon’s family owned and operated one of the longest running Apple Specialist businesses in the US. Specializing in all things Apple, Jon was able to build his expertise over a decade, helping countless consumers and businesses make the most out of their Apple products. Jon’s passion for Apple and helping people with technology led him to create Bayon IT.

Jon holds his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville and many certifications. Jon is an Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC), and Apple Mobile Technical Competency (MTC). Jon also holds many other third party certifications from organizations like CompTIA and Microsoft.

In his free time, Jon is an avid traveler, having been to over 20 countries spanning over 4 continents. Jon currently resides in Minneapolis, MN with his wife Sara and their two cats.

 
Daniel Cox

Daniel Cox, Cofounder

As co-founder, Daniel brings over a decade of experience in the field of healthcare information technology to Bayon IT. In the early 2000s, Daniel was one of the first employees of an Electronic Health Record software company, which he helped grow to over 30,000 users across 60 different specialties. He has presented at industry conferences such as the AAFP Scientific Assembly and HIMSS, and has built relationships with different organizations including Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and the NFL. In 2010, he began consulting with medical practices to implement technology-based workflows that alleviate bottlenecks.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a minor in Sustainability from the University of Arkansas. Daniel also holds a LEAN Healthcare certification from Washington State University. His free time is enjoyed in research and volunteer projects, biking, running, reading, and traveling.

Steve Shearman

Steve Shearman joined Bayon IT in 2020 as Business Manager, and brings with him over 20 years of business experiences in industries such as defense, retail, consumer goods, transportation, and aerospace. Steve’s management and leadership experiences will help expand Bayon’s current capabilities in customer experience, communications, marketing, Human Resources, talent acquisition, client collaboration, etc. Steve’s management experiences in large and small organizations gives Bayon additional expertise in providing strategic support, service, and solutions to emerging business challenges. 

Steve has earned a Master of Business in HR Management from Capella University, Master of Business Administration in Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in organizational management from American InterContinental University. Steve is a member the American Legion, ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) and holds Human Capital Strategist (HCS) Certification and LinkedIn Master Recruiter Certification. For recreation Steve enjoys reading, travel, tennis, and cycling.

 

Norma Saavedra

Ms. Saavedra joined Bayon IT in 2020, bringing over 10 years of experience in the field of AppleCare technical and customer support, as well as other varied capacities. She functioned commendably for 3 years as an Apple Team lead, a position requiring her to manage a team of 15 to 25 senior Apple technical advisors. Before her management role, she served 6 years in the key roles of Tier 1 AppleCare Technical Advisor and Senior Advisor. In these roles, she received invaluable hands-on Apple training focused on providing prompt, reliable, and accurate solutions for iOS and Mac products.

Most recently, she has worked for two years in an AmeriCorps program focused on teaching various essential computer skills to community members in the Twin Cities. The primary mandate of the program, which is still ongoing, is to close the gap in the digital divide within the next decade. This is imperative, as it ensures access for everyone, to the technology and skills, which are a must-have in today's digital and tech-driven world. Norma is currently continuing her education in Computer Science in Minnesota and expects to graduate by 2022.

Ryan Wilcox

The Bayon IT team welcomed Mr. Ryan Wilcox in 2021. Ryan brings with him an immense 15 years of experience supporting users of Apple software and hardware in a variety of settings, including education and healthcare. Throughout his career, he has also supported critical infrastructure such as firewalls and wireless access points for organizations with thousands of users, and peripherals such as projectors, document cameras, etc., for users from the C-Suite down. His experience and skill in supporting a broad array of technology and people both in person and remotely is a welcome addition to our team. 

In mid 2020 Ryan moved with his family from Des Moines, IA, to St. Paul, MN. While living in Des Moines, Ryan attended Drake University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Music in 2003. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities such as walking and biking, and spending time with his family.
